The nameless sky

I saw you in the pennies ways

And half a cup of tea

and balderdash and many days

Between the sky and ski

And thought it left me like a jar

Empty of the jam

Looking out Into the sky

Asking who I am

Love it was a flightless bird

Oh but love did light the way

From corridors too absurd

To block or to give way

More than morning

Morose and mourning

Hit the qualities of shade

That all these starving darling starlings

Could now eat what man had made

But God shook the totem poles

Of power and of play

And took dark towers where wise men cower

And the good may hide away

And he felled with axes

The tree of life he made

For unless it grows with taxes

Then money collecting never pays

I fought my way to Eden

I fought til kingdom came

And all dark storms did weaken

In the coming of brighter names

And when the words were spoken

Then spells they fell like flames

And landed upon the heads of those

Who chose life instead of fame

I kissed the hand of Jesus

And the 12 apostles' shame

Which one of them did laud it over

Him with such a claim?

That all God's earth was kingdom

And the King he shall reclaim

His right seat at throne of power

And all shall know his name
