Carry a torch

Tell me do you still carry a torch

for her?

Do you wait under the porch for her

Thinking hot thoughts that would scorch for her

Tell me do you still carry a torch for?

Well the lights went off and it all went dark

When you let go of my hand in the park

I thought you'd be back

But it soon all turned black

Except I still carry torch

And it lights my way, I mean until

the day brings some light into my life

Oh and it can seem grey, to think love never pays

But who knows what is wrong and what's right?

Do you still carry a torch for her?

Will you run the marathon sport for her?

Running on empty as the hope it grows plenty

Out in the barrels of night

Out where I search with my torch light
