Demeter's daughter

 What became of Demeter's daughter?

She spent half the year down under

Married to a fella named Bruce

I tried to console our mother

But she was too far gone

In sadness over her loss

To manage the farm

and all of the animals ran loose

I brought her flowers from the cave mouth

And planted new oak trees there

Yet the Prince of darkness kept my sister

Down in his underground lair

My mother Demeter was wandering

Lost in the land she had known

Who could have stolen her compass

Who could have left her alone?

We all eat of the fruit we aren't meant to

We all fall at temptations mouth

So who is the one who torments you?

Why do the swallows fly south ?

It was nothing urgent

 It was nothing urgent

Not something I really meant for you to know

You're probably too busy

So let's get on with the show

It was nothing urgent

Don't mind me if I say

Hello how are you?, please get on with your day

Everyone's in a panic

Like there's a powder keg below their feet

And they're running like pandas

Black and white down the street

They must do their shopping

They must fight the other one

It is like a parade

Of the nuclear mum

And everyone is rushing

Like the nuclear family might explode

Like if you aren't on their side

You need to get out of the road

But can't you see it is a fever

Of the damned lost of self-control

Everyone swimming in a hellish river

Like doomed fish in a shoal

And the whale is coming

Its mouth is open wide

It will swallow them all up

Like it swallows their pride

It was nothing urgent

I just called to let you know

That we need a new government

One that will let the country grow

The name of love

 I have known the Capulets

I have known the Montagues too

And everything they had done

In the name of loving you

There are some families out there

who don't believe it's true

But I saw it in the paper and I saw

it in the deepest blue

Some things that you see you can believe

In just one sight

But never I saw true love more

Than I saw it that first night

Some people don't even see what's right in front of their eyes

They can be so blind to love and walk over on the otherside

I have seen the Capulets and I've seen the Montagues too

And they have known that their heart's not stone

And that love's not true

I have searched the forests, I've searched the deserts too

I have not seen love I've known for a week or two

I had asked Apollo, I asked Hermes and Mars

They pointed me to the swallows and said why not cross some stars

I walked upon the moon and I looked for love up there

But it was only a reflection in a spoon and a long cold stare

I want to find a place that you can tell me so

That there is a place to go, where the love does show

Sometimes it is hidden in the reeds like a Bittern

Sometimes love will boom its name just as it is written

I cannot believe my words, I can't believe what they say

If you tell me love's a bird that will fly away

There are many martyrs who have fallen on their swords

All in the name of love but now they fall no more

What can you tell me of, if it's not in vain

Don't love the same woman time and time again

Well I knew the Capulets, I knew the Montagues too

I walked in the House of God and out the window flew

I was a ghost in the haunted house upon the hill

A ghost of all the love that's past and all that ever will

She left it in her will to me, she left me a million dollars

Said that love can't be bought or sold and that gold was hollow

And I knew the Capulets and I knew Montagues too

And I walked with Angels when two lovers did love true

There can be no answers fit, no answers can be given

That love is just a place to sit with a bright red ribbon

Family bonds

Oh what do you see and you see and deliver

And through it all live on, live on again

And through all her children, grand babies

a million

See what you see through the eye of the lens

See what you see, see and deliver

Stand and deliver the sermon of men

And women in posters, all hosters of coasters

And seeing the ghosters all around the firemen

When the building is burning

And the children are learning

That we can't be water, we have to be men

Far from the daughter

The father did slaughter

the fatted calf on the alter

Oh way back then

And far from the mother

the son and his brother

Were fighting one another

to see who would be men

And you see what you see, you see and deliver

The sand and salt in the halter of when

You see what you see you stand and deliver

The mighty white river of the rushing green glen

You drink of the water that's thick with the daughter

But the blood ties are thinner by the winner of men

And who will be winner, the blood or the water

Which will be stronger the women or men?
