Worlds apart

 They don't want to be

Part of the family

They wanted to be different

They wanted to be estranged

On the other side of the world

Bold in bold way

Brave in a brave

Carnival of the senses

Walking charade

Doctor of commerce

Sister of slade

Condominium for improvement

Out in the everglade

Dog without a bone

Arrow without a heart

Sharp things and all alone

In the frozen dark

Diamonds in the fire

Sending out their sparks

Rug lights on the wire

Hanging out worlds apart

Well we used to be a family

Around the inglenook hearth

We used to hold the everglade

But now we are apart

And dogs that howl in the moon fields

Foxes run, and fishes dart

Shoot me with your wild wind

Because we're worlds apart

I should be an astronaut

And walk upon the moon

Perhaps I'll meet a family there

One with a silver spoon

Perhaps all the money

cannot buy back a broken heart

But it could buy me a ticket to fly

Because we're worlds apart
