How long is your love?
Will it wrap around the world?
Will stretch to the stars
Like a string of pearls
How long is your love?
Will it reach the moon
Will it tie you in knots
Or come to its end soon?
How long is your love?
Like the day is long?
Like the Roman cavalry soldier
On a march across the dunes in the sun?
Like a wandering dove
Alone in the sky
Looking for land fall
An olive branch or pine
How long is your love?
Is it long enough to face
The world outside of love's disgrace?
Is it long as a country mile
With many twists and turns
Or is it as long as a fuse
To a bomb that burns?
How long will it last before it goes off
Before it rots in the grass
Or before it is tossed
In front of the traffic
To be washed up dross
In the seaweed driftwood
Of the sea of loss
How long is the love for which you care
The double dealings
The trouble and despair?
And how much suffering are you prepared
To take
How long is this love that you must make?

Leap Year
Take the leap once
Take the leap with me
Take the plunge just a step
One giant leap and we are free
No I don't mean man kind
Or woman kind for that matter
All species are hybrids
All our ideas shatter upon
The hammer of history
The spear head of hope
It's anvil of our mystery
In the forge of elope
I like to write poetry and perform it at poetry nights. I've been writing some form of it since school years.
Just for fun
I'm not serious oh not me
I'm not serious anyone can see
There is no commitment
No long term husbandry
I'm not looking for something serious
I am just for fun
Just make me up
Take me up then throw me away
I am just the trash you find
Blowing on the motorway
I am of no matter no gravity or weight
If you let me go I'll simply float away into space
I don't want no commitment
I'm not looking for a serious affair
This is no kind of business
I come with no contract of care
I could be your boyfriend your girlfriend your great despair
I'm the hope you keep locked up
I'm not a someone
I'm just for fun
I'm not serious anyone can see
There is no commitment
No long term husbandry
I'm not looking for something serious
I am just for fun
Just make me up
Take me up then throw me away

A deeper love
A deeper love
I'm looking for
Not the kind that comes knocking at your door
Not the sleight
Not the letter stamp
Stuck on with
The edge of one's tongue
Nor the spit in the corner
Of her mouth
A deeper love
Is what I'm about
I'm looking for a feeling true
As deep as oceans
As they are blue
I'm looking for a reeling out
Of the line
I'm casting my net much further
This time
To where the shoals swell
In the pacific rim
I'm asking for a deeper love
I'm asking it of him
I'm looking for that one love
That you can't get enough of
That well that never dries up
A deeper love to fill my cup
I'm asking him for a favour
I'm asking for a life to savour
And sip and sup
At the brim
Its for a deeper love
I'm asking him
Sometime to breathe in fields of green
Some sparkling river
Some vibrant stream
To rejuvenate the man within the machine
And throw off these chains
That have been keeping me mean
A deeper love, a deeper love
I'm asking for a deeper love
I'm looking for
Not the kind that comes knocking at your door
Not the sleight
Not the letter stamp

women on scooters
Women on scooters
Not using computers
Hair flying in fluters
With their pursuitors
They look at us cute as
Can be
Women on scooters
With their suitors
Running car booters
Behind their rebooters
Carrying their pewter
Potteries
Women on Scooters
following looters
Raiding the shops wearing track suits as if
They are feminine or are they neuters?
Gender Equality of
Women on scooters
Men on scooters are not for me
I'm not a fan of their rights to be free
They look like big kids who need to grow up
They wear dark shades and say what sup
When they get to work at their desk jobs
They lift up the phone and say:
Have a nice day and other financial stuff
Not using computers
Hair flying in fluters
With their pursuitors
They look at us cute as

Lend me some of your time
Lend me some of your time
Let me borrow it
Spring's swallows flit
The Question is asked
But no answer is fit
To follow it
Only let me borrow it
And I'll give it back with interest
Lend me some of your time
And I will give it back to you
The clock tower chimes
Lend me some of your time
Time is all we have to give
A time to die a time to live
If you lend him yours
He'll lend you his
Time is all we have to give
Lend me, send me some of your time
I promise I'll return it
When the stars align
Lend me some of your sweet time
And I'll lend you some of mine
Let me borrow it
Spring's swallows flit
The Question is asked
But no answer is fit

Between finger and thumb
They take away your arrows
Your running heart
They hand you a gun
And say kill with this
It is easier, better
They take away your life
Your living
Your prey your kill
They package it on supermarket shelves
Ready for the till
You hand over your cash
You earnt tapping numbers into a key board
That go around the world
And back to your thumb
They travel that inch of distance
Between finger and thumb
That would be ten thousand miles of walking
Of exploring for someone
They take away your life
They hand you the gun
And you hold it
You don't weigh it
Because it is too heavy
With the weight of worlds
Undone
You pull the trigger
It is that easy
The distance between the finger
And the thumb
And the bullet travels
Around the world in a blink of an eye
And it hits you smack
In the back of your head
And then you die
They take away your life
When they hand you the gun
When they hand you
your degree
When they tell you you are free
To be someone
They take away that inch of life that was yours
Like a bug
Squashed between
Finger and thumb
Your running heart
They hand you a gun
And say kill with this
It is easier, better
They take away your life
Your living
Your prey your kill
They package it on supermarket shelves
Ready for the till
You hand over your cash
