Tomorrow it will all look different

 Tomorrow it'll all look different

I'm not going to let my mask slip

I'm not going to look over my shoulder

And say I wish I'd sailed on that ship

I'm going to have a makeover

I'm going to throw off all of that shit

It's not about getting older

It's about shedding an old skin isn't it?

Tomorrow, when I am older will I see my

Life passing by

And Just say hey wait a minute wasn't it you

That was who I wished I'd have tried

How are we sliding together?

Couples hold tight in the turn

If you're single then you better tether

Yourself to the great wheel that burns

It's not about getting older

But I really thought we stood a chance

I'm just feeling a little colder

But by God, I still want to dance

The straits of Japan

 I can't believe

That I was your stop gap

Pit stop

Change over

While the reel rolls on

But I suppose

That's how

We'll leave it

Just passing ships

In the straits of Japan

I can still smell your perfume

I can still hold your head

In my hands

I love you

I love you forever

Oh in the straits of Japan

Partners

 In all this mess

Is there anything worth salvaging?

I know, what about

Out mutual sense of aggrievement

At this life's haggling

You trade me your partner,

And I'll trade you mine

 what

If both turn out to be just the right

Waste of time?

What if it all works out

just exactly as it's supposed to be

And I love him or her

And she loves me or she or he?

Then, maybe

We can live in peace

And

Be who we're meant to

The mismanaged rover

 He walked into the shop

To buy himself a bar

Of chocolate, but look

That did not get him far

He thinks he's a Lothario

But he's a leviathan of tar

Just a walking slug

Too fat for his guitar

They call him the mismanaged Rover

He's as snide as a toad run over

He's as subtle as a spoon of honey

And he'll only sing to you for money

His time it isn't long

Just a four versed song

Because his dogs howl at the moon

And he's sucked his last sweet tune

He's already out the door

Before the rain starts to pour

But his soul is a lost resort

Because all things come to nought

They call him the mismanaged Rover

He's as snide as a toad run over

He's as subtle as a spoon of honey

And he'll only sing to you for money

I'm not yours

G I'm not yours and you're not mine

Em I'm nobody's tall glass of wine

Am I'm not yours and you're not mine

D I'm nobody's G glass of wine

G Drink me down, or drink me up

Em I can be crown or be cup

D I'm not yours and  G you're not mine

Am All alone in the sweet sunshine

G I have meanings beyond my leanings

Em They are nothing but too much gleaning

Am How about your dreams and mine?

D I'm not yours and G you're not mine

G What is it? It doesn't matter

Em We're just here in a world of clatter

Am I should leave you far behind

D Because I'm not yours G and you're not mine

G We're all on this earth together

Em But Should I find you a feather

Am We're the same, we're of a kind

D But I'm not yours and G you're not mine

G Kindred spirits flame and burn

Em Like a candle always turns

Am I should find a new leaf in time

D Because I'm not yours and

G You're not mine

An artist

I sometimes wish I were an artist

Then I'd paint the sky's pinks and blues

And the trees fading into the houses

Like emerald in Ruby hues

And if I were an artist

I'd love the colours

They'd light up my brain

And every neuron

Would be firing

And I'd never feel any pain

If I were an artist like you

Picture town

Do you live in picture town

Is it picture perfect too?

I wish I lived in picture town

In picture town like

you

All the shining ornaments

All the bridges too

(All go arching

Over the river)

I wish I lived in picture town

In picture town like you

Paint me a picture

You're an artist

I hear, is it true?

Oh paint me a picture of

Picture town

Of picture town and you
