Don't Panic captain Good Manners

I don't think our moral outrage

Means a single thing against Russia

No matter what pictures of burning buildings

Or murdered children

It is not as if he doesn't know what he is doing

He is proud and cannot suffer

humiliation on the battlefield

It is the main basis of his political ptency

And the support of his generals.

He threatens nuclear war

And then says he will agree to talks

While at the same time advancing his troops

We cannot trust a single word he says

And he will not stop until he has achieved his military objectives

The West will have made him a pariah by that time

But it doesn't matter when he has the support of other

Dictatorial regimes such as China,

Syria,

North Korea, Iran

And any one who will now see the benefit of having nuclear weapons

We can no longer say 'This is not our war'

Or 'It is the Russian people who need to take Putin down'

If they were capable of that, they would have done it by now

But instead he has grown stronger, and

The threat he poses is already inherent in our society

In property, investment and in his spies ability

To poison our citizens on our soil

We have stayed quiet and stood back for long enough

If we don't act now,

Then the aligning states which are within Nato will be under immediate threat

And as the Ukrainian politician said

'What signal is this giving to other dictators with nukes?'

You can advance and get what you want

If you continue to threaten with your nuclear weapon

Concealed behind your back

while walking over territories you want

Taking whatever you want

Getting nearer and nearer

While we say -'Stop there or else we won't be friends with you anymore'

Stop or we won't be your customer

When they are the supplier who has a monopoly on the market.

But there we are perhaps the west and Nato pushed too far

and toyed with Russia and this is the result

they underestimated him

Thief in my bed

There's a thief in my bed what am I going to do

He's been sleeping with my wife

Like the animals at the zoo

He's as hungry as a lion

As sly as a snake

And he's lying in my bed

I think he's on the make

I wish he would make it

Because he never tidies up

And I am forever finding things missing

Like my coffe cup

I think he stole my credit cards

They were on the bedside table

And he's been using them to buy things

For himself whenever he's able

With you

 I've dined with kings

And diced with death

That Martyrdom brings

I've sliced the breath of the holy spirit

And cut off the wings

Of the one with forked tongue

I've discovered poles and mountains high

I think I've the strength left

To reach the otherside

But before I passover

That lonely stile

Come give me a kiss

For the extra mile

I'd walk it to you

If you ring true

Like a glass that sings

Like a queen bee's hymns

As she cleans her hive

I've only wished to be alive

But with or without you is the issue

It is the great question of our lives

Teacher: Hi, how are you today?

Student said: I've just got back from a kidnap

Teacher: Oh dear, perhaps we shouldn't have this lesson

Student meant: I have just got up after a nap

Eerie Eyrie

I'd kill for it

Would you?

I'd kill to live in a country

So dog-darn blue

And true in the sense of arrows flying

Feathered from an Eagle's wing

These are the kinds of things

I'd die for

It's good that's what war brings

Out of the eagle's nest I fly

A Kyrie eyrie Elson

Down from the bat's belfry

I fly

Battersea, Battersea tower

Onto the straits of a rolling sea

A Kyrie, eerie Elson

Out to the gates of eternity

A beery, weary Nelson

I'd die Eddie,

Eddy I'd

I'd ride my motorcycle right off the cliff

If you say jump, I say Miss?

Hit it once,

Hit it twice

Hit it thrice

I'd die for this

And I'd kill for your kiss
