Time tree

 Lime tree, lime tree

Lime tree, lime tree

When it falls

In your lemon heart

Lime tree

Time tree

Time is a tree

With roots down to the past

And branches out to the future

Time tree

Time drops its leaves

And it grows new shoots

Time and time and time again

Time tree

Oh the squeeze of time

is a bitter fruit

But then the time, yours and mine

Is a time tree pursuit

Time tree

Time tree

Time is yours and mine

Time tree

Time tree

Through the forest park

Time's leaves fall on the path

Time's tree turns dark

Time tree, time tree

The tree of time is yours and mine

Time tree

Time tree sheds off its bark

Some will put their ears to its trunk

But they never hark

Time's tree through our lives

Time's tree in the park

Time tree ever shining on

Time tree is never dark

Cities of gold

Well I went to the city

The city of orphans

And I looked up to the heavens

And saw Angels of light

And they danced on the tower blocks

Like so many dolphins

Chasing

Fluorescent algae in the oceans of night

And I went to the city where love was a Dauphine

And he ruled like a despot The streets of might

And the colours of flags

Drained into the gutters

And the streamers of politics

Laid down by my side

And I saw without eyes

All the blind men were leading

And I drank from the well

With the horses of flight

And they ran down the rivers

The rivers of ancients

Inside the mouth of the mind

Of delight

And seasons of stones

They shrouded their faces

On the pavements alone

Where the crooked do fight

And the call of the country

It echoed down the empty street

And I called back the anarchy

To patrol the midnight

The town was so golden

So rich and so stolen

And it gleamed in the dazzling

Blood of the moon

And all the men lusted

After what they'd beholden

And all the women wept

And then they did swoon

And the city of gold

Stood above the horizon

Like in cloud castles

That roll down in the night

And though the people were hungry

And their bellies were swollen

They kept craving the gold

That was out of reach but not sight

Envy of you

 Envy, Envy of you

I have walked through many forests

Could not see the wood for the trees

Been up to the highest mountains

Down to the bottom of the deepest seas

But there is one thing I know to be true

Oh, yes the Envy of you

No matter where I may be walking

No matter who it is I see

The egg shells that lie broken

Crumble under my bended knees

And I hear your voice has spoken

I see the make believe

Of a world sold like a token

To those who it would leave

The envy, the envy of you

I try

I tried to meet you in the street

Oh I tried to beat it with my feet

I tried to stop but I repeat

Oh I tried, how I tried

I tried to love you in the chair

I tried to love and show I care

I tried to hug you like a bear

I tried, oh lord how I tried

I tried to sing a song so sweet

One where love was something to eat

And we had been so hungry

Until we did meet

Oh I tried, how I tried

And in the fall, in the grey air

That calls back hope and raises despair

I fall like snow and melt like sleet

That shawls on shoulders kindly greet

I tried, oh I tried

But all this disappears like summer

I saw the last butterfly today

It thought only of summer haze

And danced it's light flight on the days

As winter marches to the beat

Of the yearly drummer

Love got blown apart

In the Chimney sweep make up department

IF YOU ARE A FISH PUT ON YOUR SCALES,

AND IF  you're a hare well

Make a tail

And if you're a bear

Then come on and care

Because a love got blown apart

If you're a tv then don't tune out

If you're a radio then scream and shout

And if you're the sea then come follow me

Because this love got blown apart

Because love got blown apart

I don't know about your house

Perhaps it's got four walls

Perhaps your bedrooms warm and sweet

Perhaps your sunflowers grow tall

Perhaps the dogs at midnight

Don't howl at the drunken fools

But I know my seat is poor on feet

For its love got blown apart

Yes this love got blown apart

The gypsy and the sailor

They rowed their rocking boat

Out upon the ocean

But their ship it didn't float

The storm it blew in rages

Like a snarling lion torn

Out from between the pages

Of a book that was never born

And sailors wrack their sails

And monkeys stack the shot

And big brutes of men are nailers

Of the gold that's cold not hot

And treasure lies beneath the deck

But galley lugs are lorn

And all got sunk beneath the waves

Because the love was torn

Yes the love got blown apart boys

Their love got blown apart

The four winds crossed

And the ship got lost

When the love was blown apart

There is a woman around clock

What is it I'm good for?

Is it ever enough?

With a bullet in my skull, full of your love

Shoot me down at midnight

Kill me just at lunch

Duel with me at dawn

Pushing the buttons of love

There can be no answer

None that I know from stuff

That floats around the dancer

In a raging storm of love

There's a woman around midnight

And one comes to me at dawn

There's a woman in the dying light

And a woman when you're born

There's a woman every hour

A woman round the clock

And they keep you in their power

Until their ship does dock

Second hand of woman

Third hand of man

Hours of the child

Who counts the summertime

Making all your plans

Day after day

Filling up your Gods

Moulding like your clay

Can you bring me to you?

What should I say?

I am dying in your love

Dying on your lawn today

Heman on Holiday

 Heman went on holiday

To the land of the dead

There he met skeletor

Who to Heman said

Oh Heman where's your musket

Where is Shera and snarf

And where are all your grateful disciples

To this Heman just laughed

I left them back in rainy England

They can dig their own graves

I'm done with saving the Universe this month

I'm a master and not a slave

I leave it to the skivvies

To do the work for me

They can rescue the scraggy navvies

They can bolster the refuggees

I'm on holiday in Lanzarote

And here I'm going to stay

Well Skeletor was so impressed

And deep down in his evilness

He conjured up a plan

To invade Castle Grey Skull

While the cat is away the mice may play

And this cat's had one hell of a day

He'll be dozing for some time

In the sun

So Skeletor returned to England

And held his wife Shewar

For a victim

And told the world he was their master

and he held the master plan
